NAPLES, FL (October 2007) – They’ve championed the arts and cared for the sick. They’ve founded retail giants and established a world-class education center in a new town. They are omnipresent trailblazers using their talents and passions to shape and improve our communities. They are Gulfshore Life’s seven Men & Women of the Decade: Myra Janco Daniels, founder CEO and chairman of the Philharmonic Center for the Arts; Nancy and Bill Lascheid, founders of Naples’ Neighborhood Health Clinic; Jim Nathan, president and CEO of Lee Memorial Health System; Marvin and Helene Gralnick, founders of Chico’s FAS Inc.; and Tom Monaghan, founder of Ave Maria University.
These movers and shakers join an elite group of more than 130 former Men & Women of the Year, named every November for the past 10 years. The November issue of Gulfshore Life—on newsstand everywhere this week—spotlights this year’s seven honorees and their formidable achievements, and local leaders take a special look back at how Southwest Florida has evolved during the last decade.
The Men & Women of the Decade and all the former Men & Women of the Year will be honored at an unforgettable black-tie gala Nov. 17 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort. For ticket information, please contact Rena Arellano at (239) 449-4130 or RenaA@GulfshoreLife.com.
**We invite the media to cover the arrivals on the red carpet—please contact Rebecca Loveridge at (239) 449-4154 or RebeccaL@GulfshoreLife.com.
