MUSEUMS & GALLERIES
Alliance for the Arts. The gifts, photos and clothing that W. Stanley Hanson, the son of an early Fort Myers doctor, collected during his lifetime with the Seminole Indians is on display in A Journey with the White Medicine Man through Feb. 29. 939-2787.

Art League of Bonita Springs. The Annual Members Exhibition is on display Feb. 1–21. Also, members of the Southwest Florida Pastel Society showcase their work at the Pastel Society Exhibition, Feb. 29 to March 10. Both are at the Center for the Arts. 495-8989.
Cape Coral Arts Studio. The Southwest Florida Craft Guild’s yearly juried exhibition is

Naples Museum of Art. Two exhibits, Pablo Picasso: Preoccupations and Passions and Jerome Tupa’s Painting the Pilgrimage: From Paris to Compostela, continue to May 18. Visions: Contemporary Drawings from the Dyke Collection runs until March 15, and The Mouse House, featuring works by Olga Hirshhorn, is on display through April 30. Mandy Patinkin. The Tony Award winner takes time away from his TV series Criminal Minds to perform In Concert at the Phil, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. 597-1900.

Mannheim Steamroller. The group’s innovative blend of classical, pop and electronic sounds in a one-time show at the Phil, Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. 597-1900.

Marian McPartland Trio. The host of NPR’s longest running music series jazzes up the Phil, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. 597-1900.

Naples Concert Band. The group performs in Cambier Park on Feb. 3 and 17 at 2 p.m. 263-9521.
Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. Ann Hampton Callaway joins the NPO for Swing!, Feb. 19–24. Monumental Mahler is Feb. 7–10. Then the NPO hits the town, performing Haydn’s "Drumroll" Symphony in Bonita Springs Feb. 17 at First Presbyterian Church. Wesley Methodist Church on Marco Island hosts the symphony Feb. 15, and Beethoven’s Second on Feb. 29. 597-1900.

The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? The Naples Players present Edward Albee’s 2002 Tony Award winner about the pain of love at the Sugden Community Theatre, Feb. 6 to March 1. 263-7990.

Guys and Dolls. Gambling man Nathan Detroit continues his song and dance at the Broadway Palm through Feb. 16. 278-4422.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Known for its edgy, athletic choreography, the troupe brings its diverse style to the Phil Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. 597-1900.

Lord of the Dance. The international Irish dance phenomenon plays at the Phil, Feb. 29 to March 1 at 8 p.m. 597-1900.

Satire, Parody and All Things Funny. Two local satiric performers take on Southwest Florida, and any topic is fair game. Part of the Art League of Bonita Springs’ "An Evening With…" series, they’ll be at the Center for the Arts Feb. 13 from

Tosca. New York City Opera conductor Steven White joins the NPO for this opera by Puccini, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. at the Phil. Performed in Italian with English supertitles.
