Fashion Statement

Who are you here with? My husband, John.

What are you wearing? A silk and beaded sheath gown from Cache Luxe (in Waterside Shops), and silk shoes from Stuart Weitzman. The handbag is from Draper’s & Damon’s.

What’s your fashion philosophy? Simplicity. I tend to stick to the classics, but I sometimes add pieces like my red metallic Bruno Magli four-inch stilettos. These are great with either gowns or jeans.

What’s your favorite accessory? My red feather boa. I wear it to many Republican events. (I’m the past president of the Women’s Republican Club of Naples and the Florida Federation of Republican Women.)

What are you most comfortable wearing? I’m comfortable in just about anything.

What would you never wear? There’s nothing I wouldn’t try wearing.

Whose style do you admire? Victoria Beckham, Angelina Jolie and, of course, Audrey Hepburn.

Where do you like to shop? My favorite store is Neiman Marcus.

What new trends do you like? I love the new trend of the swing jackets.

How big of a role does fashion play in this area? Fashion is important here in Southwest Florida because of the many events and excellent restaurants we have nearby. Most people like to dress up and see what others are wearing.
