Who are you here with? My boyfriend, Dr. Patrick Layton Jr.

What are you wearing? I saw this dress at Loehmann’s and had to have it, even though I had nowhere to wear it. I’ve had this bracelet for a while, and the earrings I made myself. My necklace is actually a belt that I thought matched the [event’s pirate] theme. My clutch is also from Loehmann’s, and I got my shoes in Washington, D.C.

What’s your fashion philosophy? I make things my own.

Who or what influences your style? Everybody you’ve ever heard of. Plus I watch all the [fashion-oriented] TV shows, like America’s Next Top Model.

What are you most comfortable in? Jeans and a T-shirt.

Where do you like to shop? I love thrift stores. I found some great vintage Swarovski crystals there the other day that I’m going to use [in my jewelry-making business].

What is your favorite accessory? Recently it’s become purses, but I still believe shoes make an outfit.

What would you never wear? Overalls. They’re OK on the runway, but that look just doesn’t translate into real life.
